Abstract
The third edition of the Alpine Finance Summit brought 38 participants to Garmisch-Partenkirchen for three days of asset-pricing research, with 15 papers selected from 114 submissions, an academic keynote by Richard B. Evans (UVA Darden) and an alpine keynote by Lukas Hollaus.

Co-organized with Jochen Lawrenz (University of Innsbruck), Sebastian Utz (main organizer, University of Augsburg), and Florian Weigert (University of Neuchâtel).

Hosted in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, August 23–25, 2026.

The third edition drew 114 submissions, of which 15 papers were selected for presentation alongside the poster sessions, with 38 registered participants. Sessions were held at the Kongresshaus Garmisch-Partenkirchen, with the second day convening at the Kreuzjochhaus mountain lodge — the format the summit is named for.

The academic keynote was delivered by Richard B. Evans (C. Stewart Sheppard Professor of Business, UVA Darden). The alpine keynote, “Ambition to Peak”, was given by Lukas Hollaus.

I chaired Session B — Options, Predictability & the Cross-Section.

New in this edition: a dual submission option with the Review of Asset Pricing Studies (RAPS) at no additional charge, under the SFS Dual Submission Policy.
